I was supposed to do Jury Duty last June, but kidney stones more or less put the "kabash" on that.

You hunt footballs?
Dadblame right we hunt footballs

Happiness is a large gutpile from dead footballs. No bag limit and the season runs until February.

You ain't lived until you've had bar-b-q football!

Football and deer hunting season? Bummer... that means tourist season is over and I haven't bagged one this year.

C'mon to Atlanta. We have plenty of tourists to hunt. So many in fact they no longer consider them game animals, but vermin. You can bag as many as you want and there is no closed season.

Atlanta? You're probably the offiicer that gave me the speeding ticket when I was there in '96. They wouldn't let me leave the station till I paid the ticket because there was no extradition with Cali.

But... as long as tourists are always in season there, I forgive you. Atlanta... here I come!!!

Thank you, Witchy. She isn't the first cat I've lost, so I know it does get better. But riding out that wave just sux. And the vet called today to say her ashes are in, so I'll be picking those up sometime this weekend. My husband and I have talked about getting another but will probably wait until after the Holidays when things slow down a bit. But your concern is greatly appreciated.

VanHelsingStandIn, I occasionally go down to Atlanta for Dragon*Con. Should I wear something to distinguish myself from the regular tourists or just practice duck and run?
We're the farmer's scarecrows
We scare away the birds,
We keep the farmer's corn safe
Without any words.
But when Halloween comes
We jump out of the ground
And we scare the boys and girls
When they come walking 'round.

I call myself lucky as my NFL team goes. I'm an Arizona Cardinals fan currently on my 21st consecutive year as a fan. The Cardinals defeated the Patriots, Seahawks and Eagles and began the season 3-0 for the first time since 1974. Of course the Cardinals suffered a close but Heartbreaking Superbowl to the Steelers just a few years back but onv=ce Bidwill got his Arena, he made good on his promise to build a new and winning Cardinals.

Every Saturday my two older brothers Bob and Barry are glued to the tv, watching the Chicago Bears. They aren't too happy these days, but win, lose or draw, the Chicago Bears are number 1 in their eyes.

I believe the current Chicago Bears QB is Jay Cutler, a Vanderbilt grad (my husband, older son & I being Vandy alums ourselves, we notice stuff like that).

Our Titans haven't been doing too great in recent years, but the game yesterday (against Detroit) was a doozy. We finally got it, 44-41, in OT. We had not been favored to win.

The Chicago Bears arch rivals is the Greenbay Packers. I am not a major football fan, but my brothers never shut up about it. My brother barry even likes to go to local high school games, as he use to play football in high school and really loves the game.

Since my husband is a high school teacher, he gets free passes to home games, and we go in the fall. It is fun, a real slice of Americana. A week ago we also went to a Vanderbilt game (someone had given us tickets), and that was fun, too. I have never been to a Titans game, although my husband & sons have gone occasionally. They are very expensive. I just watch them on TV.

The only sporting events I ever went to in person were a couple of Chicago White Sox baseball games, and a few minor league games becasue I was invited by friends, but my eye site isn't the greatest, so I miss a log of the action. I am generaly hot a major sports fan. I do like it when my teams win, cut I don't really glue myself to the tv screen every time the Bears are playing.

Okay well you folks have answered my question. I was a little worried but now that i'm set straight and the Halloween creek is flowing, I am going to lock this topic so that it doesn't become discouraging. We'll just let it slide into oblivion.
