I'm in Pittsburgh for a wedding. You know. Pittsburgh. Where Romero kicked off the zombie apocalypse?! The city that was the inspiration for the city in Land of the Dead (even though that was shot in Canada)? We passed through Monroeville on the way up, it's a suburb of Pittsburgh. Monroeville, famous for the Monroeville Mall, where the original Dawn of the Dead was filmed. On the way back on Sunday, we're gonna stop there, and I'm gonna take pictures until the mall cops kick me out!
There are zombies EVERYWHERE up here!!! I saw one stumbling down the road near the Days Inn where we're staying! I saw two of them at the Bar-b-cue joint next door! And there was a swarm of them around the stadium where the Pittsburgh football team plays (whoever they are.... I wouldn't know, because they have nothing to do with ZOMBIES!!!)!!
I probably won't get a chance to wander around downtown Pittsburgh, which is probably a good thing, what with all the zombies everywhere. But the wedding will be at a church tomorrow, and the reception at a zoo, so there are bound to be some zombies at both places. I'll try to take pictures, and try not to get bit (sorry Andy and Spooky).
ZOMBIES!!!!

Re: Zombie Capital of the World!!
Pittsburgh is to zombies as Salem is to witches? I had no idea. Have fun.

I thought you meant Los Angeles.

Re: Zombie Capital of the World!!
Yeah, I will also agree Pitsburgh/Monroeville would be the zombie capital! I am a avid fan of the classic Dawn of the Dead the original! I was in Monroeville Mall last weekend and had no problems with taking photos! I was also up in the area at the time of shooting the movie, but never got to see the shooting! I wanna do the Monroeville Zombie events they do. But now they are doing it in Pittsburgh. I may post some of the mall pictures if any interest? After thirty some years, I wouldnt think most people in that mall would ever know such a classic movie was shot thier! Long live Romero and Monroeville Zombies!
I am the last smiling face you"ll see before I shut the lid!

If you have pics undertaker post them up here.
It's not our fault, they pulled a mind scramble on us. They opened their eyes and talked.
