Hope you all are enjoying the kick-off to summer, and spending a few moments to honor our military heroes in your heart. Have a blessed day!

I hope you had a good holiday too.

It was pretty quiet around here.

Thanks, Andy. One of our cats died on Memorial Day (an ancient one, just her time to go), so it was a little sad around here. But we left on vacation two days later, so I was actually grateful she died before that. And I was so busy on Tues prepping for the trip that I didn't really have time to miss her until we got back.

I'm sorry to hear about your cat, hopefully she went peacefully.

We were busy on Memorial Day at the restaurant, but we did get to spend more time with the kids because they were helping us the whole day, and we were doing renovations on the house for about 2 weeks so I didn't go online much.

I'm so sorry to hear about your cat, Murf. It's hard letting go of a beloved pet. Perhaps it was for the best, I'd hate to come back from vacation and find her like that. Hopefully the vacation cheered you up.
It's still sad to go through though. So far I've gone through it within the span of 8 months. We still have three cats left, and I dread that one day they'll too be heading for the rainbow bridge. I just wonder if we should get anymore pets. But then I saw a Facebook post about how someone lost their dog and how the pain of losing a pet shouldn't stop you from getting another, because you might just make that pet's life the best it could possibly have. It shouldn't stop you from saving a life.
So I don't know. I guess when the time comes, if we find a kitty that needs a home, we'll take them in.
I'm sure you gave your cat the best life she could possibly have, and she'll be there waiting for you on the other side.

It's tough to lose a pet and I think it helps you get through the grief by adopting another.

I expect we'll have pets until the Good Lord says we can't anymore.

I saw The Twilight Zone on tv as a very young child, but I don't remember seeing this one. Very interesting write-up.

It is worth keeping an eye out for.

I don't think we're quite ready to take that step as of yet though. We still have three cats to take care of right now, so I'm just going to take good care of them while they're still in our lives.
When we're ready to get a new cat or a kitten, we'll know.
Of course, if a cat happens to show up that needs a home that is put into our lives, be it by God or fate or whichever you choose to believe, then we'll make an exception.

Best episode? I won't argue that it was a great episode, but I wouldn't call it the best.

I've watched every single episode of The Twilight Zone multiple times, and there are so many classics that it would be hard to definitively say which episode was the best. The show was way ahead of anything else that was available at the time, and some of the things that they came up with are still influencing writers to this day.
