I was wonder is it cheaper to make fake blood or buy blood from a butcher? It is not to throw on people but to decorate. :?

Yeah, unsanitary and not at all useful for decorating. Real blood won't even stay red.

This will be outside decor only and I was hoping to make something out of a lot of blood so I want it to look like real gore. This will be for mummy and dead bodies to go in my graveyard. I was hope to do cut off heads and ripped in half corpses.

If it's for outside mummies and dismembered limbs, I think I'd just paint it. Go to a craft or hobby store and ask what paints can be used outside. Tell them it's for a Halloween display and might be outdoors in the weather for several weeks. Then buy two or three bottles and experiment with blending them until you get a color that pleases you.

That might be good solution because making a bunch of blood might be expensive and I try to save money so that is why I considered getting a few gallons of blood from the butcher.

Also, I think the artificial blood (food coloring in corn syrup, etc.) stays runny, and if it's based on something like corn syrup, it could attract ants.
