Cake or Pie?

For my business communications class, we have to choose 3 options for our final project, and do a power point presentation. The other two are really serious and I'm not all that interested in them.
The third one however, is a fun argument. Cake or Pie? Which is the better dessert?
We have to choose a side on the argument and create a persuasive presentation based on which side we pick.
So I thought I would, just for fun, present the same question to everyone at Halloween.com, and I've included a poll. I'd like to see what is the favorite dessert of Halloween.com. It may not even be cake or pie, but in this case just choose which one you like better.
I'll let you guys know which one I'm going to pick after I see everyone else's responses. Mwahahaha.

Pumpkin pie is my all-time favorite, but I couldn't argue as to why, it just is.

Pie, like art, is subjective.

I love cake, and cake is more TRADITIONAL on birthdays, but I must say, my all time absolute favorite desert is the Carmel Peacan Silk Supreme pie that they serve at Baker's Square. I also love Bananna Cream Pie, Chocolate Cream Pie, Pumpkin Pie, Dutch Apple Pie, Peacan Pie, Coconut Cream Pie and French Silk Pie.

Our family much prefers pie. I guess we all like fruit fillings, also ice box pies. There aren't many cakes that really excite me. I do like carrot cake, and if you regard cheese cake as cake, then yeah, I like that too (but it's cut like pie, so I think of it as more of a pie).

I'm not much into that butter cream icing that is on many cakes, either. I'm OK with the frostings that are just drizzled on to pound cake or something like that.

Wow. A lot of people like pie! :D
That's exactly what I was going to pick too. (Although, I am planning on baking a Halloween cake for Halloween)
My favorite pies are coconut cream and chocolate silk. I'm also quite fond of dutch apple. I like pumpkin pie too.
I'm an oddball though. Gotta have my whipped cream on my pie over ice cream any day.
I DO like Cake though, but pie is much better. And comes in more varieties and flavors.

I wonder...does Cheesecake qualify as a cake or a pie? You make it with a pie crust, but it's called cake.

Pie definitely. Almost any kind but mincemeat. Pecan is my favorite.

But then there is the cheesecake. But I'm more apt to call that pie too, it comes in a pie crust.

PIE!...you usually dont need any thing to drink with pie because it's wet, but you always need something to drink with cake....
