I agree that there's nothing funny about a guy who chokes his gf and threatens her live, but WOW! What a curse to have a name like that. I wonder how many people actualy have the name "Hitler" or "Krueger," or "Vorheese" or actualy are named Frederich Krueger or Jason Vorheese? I actualy had a boss when I worked at Sears Roebuck back in the 80s. His real name, with God as my Whitness, was Paul Newman." He was NOT the famous actor, but everyone got a kick out of it when I told them that my boss's name was Paul Newman.

Well, I actualy have a simular problem. Mike is one of the most common names for men, and O'Brien is a very common Irish name. You would not beleive how many times I was congratulated on my wedding, and I never married, how many times I was asked out to lunch by women who looked up my name in the phone book, mistakenly thinking I was a younger guy, or the guy who called me up on the phone one ti me and thought I was supposed to be dead.

I used to have a kid that went to school with me all the way through. His name was Michael Myers and he sat right next to me in 11th grade history class. I spent A LOT of time wondering why in the world his parents would give him that name, while my boring history teacher rambled on about God knows what.

Depending when you were in the 11th grade, it's possible that his parents named him "Michael" before the movie came out. I had a baby sitter named Krueger. It was back in the late 60s. I was about 8 or 9 years old, my younger sister was about 5 or 6. She was very pretty, and vary nice. She was a student/teacher who worked under my mom while she was working on her teaching certification. When I heard the name "Freddy Krueger" for the very first time, I just about did a back flip. My former baby sitter was NOTHING like Freddy.
