Universal Studios?

OK, maybe me and my friend are planning our vacation for next year. I think we decided to go there in Orlando to Universal Studios, Sea World, and Island Adventures.

Just have never planned a huge vacation like this. What would be the best time of the year to go? I was kinda leaning towards Memorial Day, but being the unofficial start of summer, I THOUGHt it would be too busy. Maybe the 18th through the 23rd of May 2009.

Is it really good time to go? Are there any other adventure places around there? I mean, any kind of information would be helpful here.

Thanks a lot!

There are a lot of places in Orlando to go and see. Personally, I prefer any time in Orlando that isn't over the summer. I do go during the summer sometimes, just because others want to, but I like the fall, winter and spring the best.

Obviously, in addition to Universal, Islands of Adventure and Sea World there are all the Disney parks there Disney Hollywood studios with the Tower of Terror, Rockin' Roller Coaster etc, EPCOT, Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, Downtown Disney etc. Those are fun to do. There are other things too in the Orlando area, but if you plan to do many of those, you will run out of time.

If you stay at one of the Universal affiliated hotels (e.g. Hard Rock or Portofino etc) you get what amounts to a fast-pass for all the rides there except during special events like Halloween Horror Nights. So, you can go on the Mummy ride 20 times in a row without waiting in the huge lines. It is well worth it. If you then switched to a Disney resort you'd get special opening and closing times if you were planning on going there.

Thanks for all the informations, HC! I do really appreciate it! :D

Well, it is up to my friend whether or not to go there because of depending on money first. He says if he has more than 2000 worth of dollars, then for sure we will run down there! Even, I have to bring some money myself too for gas, food, and drink. ;)
