You are the darkness that hides in shadow watching me
You are the opportunist

You have followed my life as though it were a TV show
You know my strengths and avoid them
You know my weaknesses and strike
You wait in silent apprehension

Death is no worse than you or I
Death has a job to do
Fill the Quota
Turn in high numbers

Death is an agent of the circle of life
Black suit and crooked smile
Don't blame death
Just be ready to stand in line when it comes your time

Death may even tell you a joke to pass the hour
