Sadly, I'm having to sell them...

This was the set that took me to Niagara Falls to meet and play with Peter Frampton. Not all things work out the way they should, however.
I told myself this was it. I was never going to get rid of it.
This is the fourth set now that I've had to sell over my life time and it just breaks my heart. But, you know, bills have to be paid and I still don't have a new job and I'm down to my last 50 bucks.
Just wanted you guys to see her before it was too late!

oh OEJ, my heart is so sad for you.
being a musician myself, i can't imagine ever parting with any of my instruments. i've never had to do this, and i don't know if i could, well if it was for my child i would, but anyway, i am so sad for you. everything happens for a reason and one day, i just know you won't have to worry about money anymore and you will have a fantastic drum kit. i just know you will

Oh, I hate having to give up something I love. It's hard to go through, One Eye. I feed so badly for you. I'd help you out, but there are two things standing in the way.
1. I have less money than you do.
2. I don't have the room to store a drum kit.
I so wish I could help you with some $$ or find a job for you. Your situation is forefront in my mind. Keep searchin' my friend. The holidays are coming up and stores need help really soon.
Better than nothing.
Nice looking kit though.

I, too, teared up to see you sitting there with your sticks in your hand.
THIS SUCKS!!!!!
I don't give a ***t if sometimes bad things happen to good people....I don't want them to happen to MY good people.
I was at my meditation altar the other day, and when I came out the hubby said.."thought you fell asleep in there", and I explained to him no, but I sure have a lot of people to pray for and send good feelings to, so it takes awhile
And you, OEJ are right up there on that list.
Just remember that you have a friend in VA that cares.

Make that two.
I know it's been said before, but I'm going to say it again because it's worth saying again. With your personality I have no doubt you utterly light up a room when you walk in. Your fun loving, witty nature will equate to "CHA CHINGS" before you know it. Life's best things are worth the wait, my friend.

hey, OEJ my daughters father got her a very expensive drum kit for kids for christmas. she's only 2 1/2, but she loves to play music. today, we took her to the store and the first thing she grabbed were some drum sticks and she wanted them so bad and i immediatly thought of that story you told on santaclause.com about how you mother took you out in the snow and you just wanted your drumsticks to take with you. just thought this little story would cheer you up to know that there is a little child out there that could grow to have passion for drumming like you. and she's a chick and chick drummers rock!

OEJ.....damn. I'm so glad you at least have the great memory of playing with Peter Frampton, an occasion well-deserved. I sure do wish times weren't so hard for you and the Mrs. right now- I know they say the hardships build character, but you've got so much already I can't even imagine the awesome dispositions that will be yours after coming out on the other side of all this. We'll be with y'all every step of the way!
