Is it weird that I'm thinking about Halloween?

Halloween is always on the mind somewhere in my brain, even if it's just on the back burner. It lurks like a shadow and haunts like a ghost. Plus we watched some interesting videos about haunted hotels, creepy places to visit, spooky urban legends and spooky photographs, and watched some videos that implied hauntings.
I think I definitely believe in ghosts; but I don't think they're always malevolent like they are in horror movies. I think most of them either stay behind because of something tragic that happened in their life that they can't get over, or else they watch over the living to protect them. Of course, I think our personalities in life will reflect how we are as ghosts. If we were good people in life we'll be good as ghosts too. If we were bad in life we'll probably be bad as ghosts. I suppose that might not always be the case though. Perhaps ghosts suffer from PTSD upon death because their death was traumatic.

To elaborate, I think ghosts are a lot like people are, but in an ethereal spiritual form. Our personalities carry over into who we would become if we become a ghost. Granted, I think the circumstances behind one's death can have an adverse affect on what a ghost is like when they become one. A very stressful traumatic death might cause an otherwise good person to become a bad ghost. Perhaps a bad person in life spends many centuries as a ghost who regrets their actions and attempts to be benevolent as a way to pay penance.
