As you are now so once was I,

He yanked out 3 wisdom teeth and he put them in a little envelope and I found them in my pocket. No swelling or anything.
Son was pretty miserable the afternoon of the 30th, but he seems to be very much on the upswing now. He had an unpleasant reaction to the anesthetic. It made him nauseous. But once that got out of his system (around midnight of the 30th), he was fine, just sore, as is to be expected.

I think the wisdom teeth surgery is a pretty individual thing. So much depends on where the teeth are located when the surgery happens.

We never drank our champagne last night. When midnight came, everyone was too tired to start drinking alcohol. So our family toasted each other with sparkling apple juice. For most of the evening we watched a Harry Potter movie, but we did tune in to Times Square just before the ball drop was replayed. It was harder to find on local TV than we had expected. Nashville started its own tradition last night--they erected a tower down on lower Broad, where the CMA festival (Fanfair) is held every June, and lowered a neon guitar at midnight. 10,000 people showed up for it, and there were fireworks, which Nashville does really well. However, we were all glad to be at home. It was cold last night (30s with a wind chill in the 20s), and very damp, misty.

I was lucky, I had no pain, no swelling, no nothing, just big holes in my gums. 3 teeth out and no pain, I was thrilled.....I put it off for so long because I didnt want to look like a chipmunk or have that pain but the surgeon was so good I didnt have any of that....

When I had my wisdom teeth out, it felt like it took about 15 minutes, but it was actually closer to three hours, and they had quite a bit of work to hack up and pry out the suckers. I took veeeerrry well to the anesthetic.
