nearly ALL fords come with good radios lol its just one of those things that they've done... especially here recently (past 10 years or so)
Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!

I had an 88 Chevy Cheyenne with the 305 V-8 engine. The very same engine and a 3 speed automatic transmission. It was a nice truck, but I liked my Ford F-150 better.

I was allways a Ford and Mercury man. That does not mean that Chevy does not make a good product. I had a 69 Caprice and an 88 Chyene, and they were both great running vehicles. Just a major bear to work on, but fun to drive and dependable. I also had a 74 Pontiac Lemans that was as fast as the wind. That had a 350 V-8 engine with a 4 barrel carburator, as did the Caprice. That IMHO was the best engine GM ever designed and built. I like the Vortech engines, too but nothing beats that classic 350.

My parent's always have owned Fords and we had a Ford Mercury Topaz for 16 years...that car ate starters but other than that it was awesome for the "recyclable car type". Bought it brand new and never died...we only upgraded because we could lol The I started dating my boyfriend a whole 3 years and 2 months ago ( :P ) and he only owns Chevy's...which I fell inlove with :D Getting a Chevy S10 as my first vehicle was a definatly fluke and so far so good :D

My folks had a '72 Chevy Impala that everyone us us kids learned to drive in, that's 3 boys and 7 girls. That thing just kept going, and going, and going, and going, and etc, etc. We used to call it the 'Blue Bomb'.

That reminds me of a funny story that actualy took place. In my family, Fords and Dodges were allways the prefered brand, NOT NECESSARILY because they were superior to GM vehicles, but because they were easier to work on. Anyway, when my oldest brother got home from Vietnam, he needed a set of wheels to go look for a job, so he bought a 1962 Ford Fairlane from an elderly lady who could no longer drive. The car barely had 2000 miles on it, and still had some of the plastic around the back seat and the like. My brother drove that car for two years, and then he sold it to one of my dad who drove the wheels off of it. Then it was my brother Jimmy's turn. He drove it for about 50,000 miles or so. Then my brother Barry was just turning 16, and needed to learn to drive, so that old Fairlane, with 90 plus thousand miles on it was just the car. It was also his first car. Very simple, very straight forward. Huge engine, 3 speed manual transmission, shift on the tree. By the time he got it the muffler had to be repalced. It roared like an airplane everythimg he woudl start it up. Barry was allways a bit of a 'wise guy.' He knew that the car was dependable, and solid, but it was also loud, so Barry "effectionaly" nick named that old Fairlane "Thunder Pig." Thunder Pig made the rounds all through our family until about 1978, when it was finaly sold to one of my brothers neighbors. I was hoping that I would get a shot at driving Thunder Pig, but unfortunately that didn't happen. My first car was a 71 Datson 1200 with a 4 on the floor. Not much of an engine, but a great transmission.

I call my motorcycle Diana, because it's a Valkyrie, and Diana was the mythical queen of the Valkyries according to Nors Lor.
