It pretty much goes for all types of clothing.

Slight variations of lapels, dress shoe styles, ties...very little changes in men's clothes.

Jeans and t-shirts, khakis and polos and either with sneakers or loafers pretty much get men through 80% of all situations, and in many instances you can get away with walking shorts too.

I don't envy the ladies in this regard.
All you that doth my grave pass by,
As you are now so once was I,
As I am now so you must be,
Prepare for death & follow me.

Well, you're both right about that.

As a guy, it's unbelievable to watch some of the things that women have to suffer through in the name of fashion.

Regarding the forum, I prefer the small group of us that currently post here, as it's a more intimate setting, and we can get to know each other better. Both of you keep this place going when the rest of us aren't around, MauEvig still occasionally shows up, and I try to pop in when I can.

I'm here for now, but I'll be going to Florida in June for my grandaunt's birthday, and she said that whether she's dead or alive, we better show up or she will haunt each and every last one of us... I'm pretty sure she is serious about that.

Then in July we will be on vacation for about 2 weeks, but I will be back after that, unless something happens to me, or we just decide to stay there.

Thanks for giving us a heads up on your summer schedule. I hope all your activities are even beyond your dreams!

On Sunday I got a text message from my cousin in Southern Cal. Her daughter is getting married in her backyard on June 7, and she wants any and all of us to come. I'm conflicted. It's a lot of $$ for a quick trip, but I would like to see her home again. (We've been meeting pretty much annually as cousins each year at randomly chosen places, so I've seen everybody within the last 12 mos.) Her husband is an architect, and their house is pretty special. Also, I'd had other plans for this summer, and I don't know if I can afford everything. Decisions, decisions.

Thanks Murf! :)

If you can't attend the wedding just get together with your husband and kids and send your family a video wishing them the best, that's what we do when we can't travel to visit family. You don't have to mention that it has anything to do with finances, just say that the timing isn't good for you because you already had plans, I'm sure they will understand, and appreciate that you care enough to send them a video.

Thanks for the suggestion, HH. I'm still on the fence, honestly.
