Swimming pools, salons and rocket launchers. You can relax, have drink a martini, have a dip in the pool and shoot down an airliner full of innocent travelors all in a day of rest and relaxation.

I wonder if the Queen Mary 2 can boast rocket launchers.

Yes, there is a Queen Mary 2. It's owned and operate by Cunard, and is considered to be one of the most if not the most luxerious cruise ship on the ocean today. It's also the most expensive to sail on.

Honestly, I didn't know very much about cruise ship, even yacht. But I've seen a few yachts here in Va Beach. Never heard about Queen Mary 2. But I was very surprised that I didn't know that Saddam had his own yacht since 1981. Well, they already found it in France.

Sadam was one of the richest men in the world because of his dictatorship. He had a huge collection of luxery cars, a palace, and wealth comparable to the Trump fortune. A 35 million dollar yacht is merely the tip of the proverbial ice berg. Iraque is also a very oil rich country, and as dictator, Sadam made huge fortunes on it.

The Queen Mary 2 is not a yacht. It's a cruise ship, but it has over 100 years of ocean liner tradition behind it. Cunard was one of the major ocean lines in business before the advent of airplanes. If you had to go to Europe back in those days, you usualy sailed on a Cunard ship or on the White Star Line. Cunard and White Star Line were the two companies who ushered in the "golden age" of ocean liners. The original Queen Mary is a classic Cunarder, as was the Queen Elizabeth and the Queen Elizabeth 2. Before the queens, Cunard build the Moritania, the Britaina and the Lucitania. The Lucitania was sunk by a German submarine during the first World War.

I can go on for hours about ships. When I retire, I really want, in the worst way, to sail across the Atlantic on board the Queen Mary 2.

Very interesting story about Queen Mary 2 ship. ;)

Yes, actually Saddam was very rich person because he got like billions of dollars that he can afford everything! He has been ruled in Iraq for more than 30 years, plus he was Vice-President in 1969 - 1979 when his cousin, Bakr, was the first President of Iraq in 1968 until his illness in 1979, so Saddam made him leave the office because of the health problem. Saddam took over everything such as government, policies, monies, etc. He only voted for himself as the President of Iraq. Well, it was sad that he died on January 1, 2007. The last time, I heard his daughters are in Jordan and his wife, is in Syria.

I'm sorry but I can't agree with you about it beind sad that Sadam Husane is dead. Sadam Husane was every bit as bad if not even worse then Hitler. The billions he spent on cars, boat and other luxeries were at the expense of the Iraqui people who lived in horific poverty, worked like slaves and lived with the constant fear that Sadam's 'secret police' would come to take them and their families off to a prison to be tortured or killed. And let's not forget about the Kurds. Sadam Husane used a horific chemical weapon on them that bothers me to even think about. He experimented on his own people with Mustard Gas, and emersed various political prisoners in bath tubs full of hydrochloric acid or sulferic acid in order to torture and kill them.

I'm sorry. I try to be a good Christian, and I try not to cheer when some one dies, but Sadam Husane was a MONSTER in every sense of the word. I just can't feel sad that he's dead.
