Anyone have evidence of animal spirits?

Does anyone possibly have any evidence of animal ghosts, spirits or whatever? I'd love to see evidence of such. Especially cat ghosts since I'd like to think kitties live on after they die too. The only evidence I ever seem to find is that of human ghosts.

Hmmm...evidence no, experience, I think so?

The previous cat in our home died almost 6 years ago and the current one came on board only 3 years back.

One day I was cooking (or what I claim to be cooking) in the kitchen and saw cat #1 cross the floor of the family room and go into the sun room.

I was concentrating on the recipe and it didn't register for a few moments that I shouldn't be seeing this particular cat...

It didn't freak me out but I had to check, so I looked around & found cat #2 asleep upstairs in a favorite sunny spot, and she was quite warm as if she had been napping there for some time.

That was the only time.

I don't know if it makes a difference but cat #1's ashes are in a kitty casket with a small plaque on it, kept in the house.

We've a similar cat story at my 'rents house-- seeing or thinking we saw one of our cats that had recently died.

If you like cat ghost stories, there's supposedly one in The Hotel LaMore in Bisbee, Arizona. I posted some photos and briefly told the cat's story in this thread.

I'm sort of torn between belief in animals having souls and nto having souls. The Catholic Church does not condemn belief that one's pets go to Heaven, and I would like to think that those four-legged members of my family will be there in the here-after to greet me when it's my time to knock on St. Peter's Gate, but I just have not ever seen or heard anyone describe evidence of animals comming back to haunt anyone, or hearing the bark of a dearly departed dog, or the meawing of a dearly departed cat.

I do very much believe that there are animals in Heaven, but whether those animals are dearly departed animals from Earth or indigidious to Heaven, I jsut don't know.

In the original movie "The Haunting," the doctor and the nephew of the owner of Hill House claimed to be chasing a dog while Nell and Theo were being terrorized by ghosts pounding on their door.

Pets do tend to be very loving. When I was a kid, my two Irish Setters were my two best buddies, and we also had a cat who loved to cuddle with me every night when I went to bed. My sister's cat is the same way towards her. Every night when she settles down to watch tv, the cat comes along and joins her right after she eats, and then at bed time the cat's waiting for my sister.

Yup.

I feel sorry for people who say that they don't think that animals have emotions.

I think not only do animals feel emotions, but they can even feel sympathy for people when they are down.

There is nothing in the Bible or in Church Dogma (Catholic in my case) that disputes animals going to Heaven.

I think it's very possible that we do meet up with both our human and animal dearly departed loved ones when we enter God's Kingdom.

Narf Narf, Andy. Catma. I like that. But it's true. There is absolutely nothing in the Catholic proclimations that says that animals don't go to Heaven, and there is actualy a reference in the Bible that the "Lion will lie down with the Lamb" It's a reference to a time when the world goes back to being like Paradise.

And let's not forget that God gave Adam and Even dominium over all the animals before the fall of man, and Adam named all the various creatures. So there were definately animals i n the Garden of Eden. It would not suprise me to see animals in Heaven, too.

"Are you pondering what I'm pondering, Pinky?"

"I think so, Brain, but how are we going to make pencils that taste like bacon?"
