Home haunted by demons!

I swear my old house was haunted by demons. Whenever I was home alone at night and everything was shut and locked suddenly the house would go completely silent. Then the garage door would be open and you could see these glaring red eyes. And, during the day there is nothing to ever cause those red glowing eyes. Then you would feel your breath because it turned so cold. And, finally you could hear this terrified screaming that actually shook the house... sorry, I am deaf!

But my friends, my cousins and my grandpa can hear!

It was scary as anything and I was only a little kid and saw this every other night. No wonder why I got nightmares.
Well, right now it's all good and gone!

My dad had a 1958 Mercury Comuter Wagon, and for some reason one of my cousens was totaly freaked out by that car. Every time my dade would pull up into their drive way when we would visit them, she would start screaming, crying and freaking out. Personaly I LOVED that car. I wouldn't mind owning one and fixing it up, but this little cousen of mine just could not abide the sight of that old Marcury.

Ok, so what happened to that old Mercury? It's broken and gone long time ago, right? Did that car make some strange eerie sounds or something like that?

That old Mercury was junked, but a neighbor of ours bought the body and frame from the junk dealer and made a 'streat rod' out of it. Yes, believe it or not, a 1050s era station wagon was made into a street rod with a Triton V-10.
Anyway, I never saw anything particularly intimidating about that car at all. It was bright yellow, which I thought was pretty neat. It was the very first car I ever rode in as it belonged to my dad. He drove me home from the hospital the day I was born in that car. To me, it was like a "magic" machine that mysteriously transported me to strange and wonderful places, but to my little cousen, it was the car from hell.
I do remember one time the muffler fell off of that car. It roared like an airplane taking off, but my little cousen was afraid of that car before that happened. Come to think of it, did have a rather mournful sounding horn on it. It didn't sound that way because of the way it was designed, but rather because it was hit by a power surge when my older brother tried to jump start it and hooked up the cables the wrong way. My dad had to replace the battery, and the horn just had this wierd ghostly sound after that. The radio was totaly fried, and dad never got around to getting it fixed or replaced, so we drove around with a "dummy" radio in the dash.

Ok, by the way... have you seen a movie called "Christine", the devil car? I believe that car was made in 1957, I think so.... You know, no body drives inside that car, but that car did its self.

That was a 57 Dodge, but I don't remember which model. A beautiful car, and yes it was possessed, and it seemed to feed of it's owner's obesssion with it. So much so that it actualy got newer as he drove around in it. The radio played nothing but ols 50s Rock & Roll, and if you so much as spilled a little water on the apholstery it killed you.
I saw that movie back in the 80s when it was playing at the Orland Square theatre. Awesome car. But my favorite is the Mercury.

Nope. There are no demons in my house, or in any of the cars I owned or rodein as a kid. Some of the 1950s vintage cars do look scary in some ways, but all in all, they're just cars, nothing more and nothing less. There was also a movie made titled " The Car," and the body style looks very much to be a 75 0r a 76 Grand Marquis or Lincoln Contenental. That's one scary looking car, too. I would love to own that car that was originaly used in the movie "The Car."
