Re: Bloody Mary
I bought a book on Countess Bathory, but it was more factual than anything else, which wasn't what I had expected. Took me forever to get the dang thing. I'd order it and they would say it was out of print.

Re: Bloody Mary
I heard about Countess Elizabeth Bathory a little long ago... I'll see if I can find out more info about her, but not really sure if that story was accurate?

Re: Bloody Mary
Okay, I just thought I shoud interject something here. There are many woman named Mary. "Bloody Mary" or "Mary Worth" legends are based on the real life Mary, Queen of Scotts. She was a tyrant in her own right, and a lot of legends grew up around here because of some of the attrocities she committed against non Catholics. Hence her nicn name "Bloody Mary."
Resurection Mary, has nothing to do with the "mirror" legend about Mary Worth. Resurection Mary, was a girl who lived in the Chicago area back in the 30s, and was killed while waiting for a prom date. According to legend, she has been seen on the road by Resurection Cemetery. Some claim to have picked her up and given her a ride.
They are both great stories, but they have nothing to do with each other.
FOR THE RECORD. I was dared, when I was 8 or 9 years old, to stand in front of a mirror, hold my hands up, and say "I believe in Mary Worth" 7 times, and to this very day, I have never done that, and I never will.
