Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter Trailer

Halloween wraps fear in innocence,
As though it were a slightly sour sweet.
Let terror, then, be turned into a treat...

That's bizarre, even for Tim Burton. :)

What isn't better than Twilight? 8)

I'll probably check that out. Looks entertaining.

By that I meant I don't really like Twilight. But I never saw it or read the books so who am I to judge?

I believe that story makes Lincoln gay. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

I haven't heard, but I do know that some people have tried to argue that he was. I don't believe it.

I have mixed feelings about using an iconic figure from American history in this way. I wish I could be certain that more young people in our society fully understood and appreciated Lincoln in his serious historic context. I think the real man was more interesting than any fantasy/parody figure could be.

You are not wrong if that is what you believe but who knows the autor's true intent.

I never read this book but I read Pride and Prejudice with Zombie and thought it is boring. :?

I've wondered about the P&P&Z thing. Of course, many people find Jane Austen boring, anyway, though I am a fan of hers. I imagine a book like that would assume the reader's knowledge of the original. I'm guessing that the humor of it is in comparing the "zombiefied" P&P with the real thing.

I find Tim Burton's movies interesting, but I don't always love them. He can get a little too weird for me. I was disappointed in Sweeney Todd and Charlie & the Chocolate Factory, but I love Nightmare before Christmas, Corpse Bride, and several others. Sleepy Hollow is terrific for what it is, which has little relation to the Washington Irving story. I've never seen Alice in Wonderland.

I agree with some of those as well, but I loved Alice In Wonderland, that is one of my all time favorites!!

My daughter was in a dramatic reading (sort of like a radio play) of Alice in Wonderland recently, playing the Cheshire Cat. Now she wants to see Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland. So I may have to check it out--

I was walking past a Red Box today and saw this...

  • Image
  • "While the Civil War rages on, President Abraham
Lincoln must undertake an even more daunting
task - destroying the Confederate Undead."

I resisted the urge to rent it. Old Abe is having a heck of a comeback, huh?

I believe that's just a rip-off. But I don't think I can resist Lincoln mixed with zombies.

Definitely a knock-off but I couldn't resist renting it. Haven't had a chance to watch it yet though.
