Children Of The Corn (2009)

Post by iHaunt » Sun Sep 27, 2009 12:34 am

Hey everybody!

Did you see this movie "Children Of The Corn" remake on SyFy Channel recently tonite? If not, then jeez... I hope you would have to rent that DVD from either Blockbuster or Netflix to add it to your list. Well, I've missed seeing this one tonite on SyFy Channel at 9 PM. So I've given up and decided to add this one to my Netflix.

Well, some people say it's good movie! Some others say it was quite okay. A very few others say it's a little boring.

I watched it last night. I thought it was OK but I definitely liked the original better. The storyline was a little different and in my opinion the acting was horrendous. The kid actors were not convincing at all and some were just too young to get into their roles so it made the whole movie seem unbelievable. I did like how they used the same theme song, I love that theme.

Thanks for the info, MF! I do recall the theme song. I was just very curisoty to see it and how it looks like the same scenes, or different scenes, or way little offtopic.

i haven't seen this but i'd like to :) the thing is is that i've always said we need a good remake of this movie (high budget)
Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!

It is NOW available on DVD today, I believe... from Anchor Bay. Maybe you should check in your local video store, or you may add it to your own queue list on either Netflix and BlockBuster.

The funniest thing I've seen was one of the "Children of the Corn" movies (not the first one) dubbed over in Spanish! Here in the Houston area, we have quite a few Spanish channels. They'll show American movies dubbed over in Spanish. What makes it particularly hilarious is that there seems to be the same male voice used in all the movies -- maybe there's a certain company that does voice-overs and it's the same actor? One of the kids in "Children of the Corn" sounded more like a 40-year-old man rather than a teenager, which was the same voice I'd heard for an adult actor in another dubbed-over movie.

I've also seen "Edward Scissorhands" dubbed over in Spanish. You guys have got to see one of these movies!

Oh I have, and it's toooo funny! lol
I saw one of my faves called Audrey Rose dubbed into Spanish.
The movie is about a little girl and the woman doing her voice sounded like she was 50! hahahaha
