Turkey use to be our traditional Christmas dinner, right up until Thanksgiving of 86. That was the year we all came down with salmenela poisening, and my mom just couldn't face another turkey so we started havimg Prime Rib.

New Years is and allways was Beef & Whine Sauce. This year, I am going to do a Prime Rib out on the barbecue, for Christmas Eve, and visit my brother for Christmas Day. On New Years I am going to do a Fresh Ham out on the barbecue, and have grean beans and baked potatoes on the side.

So, you like barbecue things? For foods with barbecue sauce, spice, seasoning, etc... I think you love BBQ! :D

I do love to barbecue, but I don't allways use barbecue sauce, and when I do I serve it on the table as a condiment. I don't cook with it because it has a tendency to burn. The only time I would ever cook the meat in barbecue sauce is when I use my crock pot. But on the barbecue it's absolutely a "Bozo no no."

What is your favorite bbq sauce?

Also, which do you prefer? Smokey? Glaze? Honey? Roasted Garlic?

HauntMaster, there are all kinds of barbecue sauces out there that are pretty good. As for the "Smokey" flavor, I only use that when I'm not cooking on an actual barbecue. My Crock Pot barbecued brisquit is an example where I would u se the smokey flavor.

When I barbecue out on the smoker, I go with regular Open Pit brand if I'm barbecuing pork or poultry (turkey or chicken) and as I said before, I do NOT put the sause on the meat while it's cooking, except on rare ocassions I brush a little on the roast about 10 to 15 minutes before the meat is done. I can't stand burnt barbecue sauce. For beef, I use Char-House or Heinz 57 steak sauce. Again, I wait until the very last 10 of 15 minutes of the roasting time, or I serve it on the table as a condiment.

As far as barbecue sauce brands are concerned, Open Pit is my personal favorite. In fact, I'm thinking about ordering a fresh, bone less ham from my local meat shop, and barbecue it using a brushing of Open Pit after it's had about 10 or so hours to roast. I just might do that in stead of a beaf roast this Christmas.

Do you like steak? What kind do you like the best?

I love T-bone and rib eye! They make my mouth watery!

We'll probably have both too. Between my cousin and my aunt, we usually have a great selection of food.

Hey, I know all of my families and other white folks do hate pork chittling! But, I do love it! That means I have to go over one of my friends' house on XMAS eve dinner - they're all african-americans. Real nice people! I love turkey wings! Even, pig ears and feets too! Good foods, though... ;)

Who loves pork chittling, ear and feet? All good with collard greens and mashed potato! Ohh, yeah... oyster stuffing inside turkey! yum yum yum

Haunt Master, I like a nice thick Rib Eyd steak the best, and they are the best for grilling, too.

Steaks are better grilled over an open flame, and take a lot less time.
