Post by Haunt Master » Mon Jul 21, 2008 3:38 pm

What would you do if there is Christmas in October?!?!

Well,, for me, I would definitely like to see Santa Claus wears Halloween costume such as orange suit and hat, even die to see him dye his beard BLACK!!! :D

And, I would love to see orange XMAS tree with black, green, and white ornaments on it!! ;)

I like to enjoy one holiday at a time thank you.
Halloween wraps fear in innocence,
As though it were a slightly sour sweet.
Let terror, then, be turned into a treat...

We already have a Christmas in October....it's called Halloween. :p
But on a serious note, a Halloween Santa would be interesting...who's to say Santa doesn't celebrate Halloween? But who would Santa be for Halloween...?
I know! He'd be Scrooge or the Grinch XD;
This probably seems crazy, crazy, a graveyard theory,
A ghost tried to approach me and got leery.
Ask him a question and he vanished in a second...

What about the idea of a Goth Santa, not just in black and orange? Hanging bones and kissing under dried wolfsbane instead of mistletoe? I love it!

Sorry folks, but as a staunch traditionalist, I would prefer that Christmas stay in December, with a little Christmas cheer in November while I'm doing my cleaning, and Halloween to stay in October with a little Halloween cheer as I put up my decorations in late September. Mixing those two holidays together, or having them at times other then the months that they fall in would detract from both holidays.

I have also seen lots of people have "Christmas in June" and "Christmas in July" parties, and I just didn't like it.

Yeah! Me either, I don't like to see or hear about Christmas in July!!! It makes me puke! :lol:

BTW, I've seen movie "Christmas in July" before... it would be on Christmas month, NOT during summer time! :twisted:

You want to know something really rediculous? About two or three years ago, one of the major cable stations, I think it was USA but I can't swear to it, decided to have a "Christmas in July" celebration, and they featured all the Christmas specials, such as the animated version of "The Grinch," the Charlie Brown special, "Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer," and a whole host of others. It was during that time when my air conditioning was acting up, so it was abou 90 degrees int he house. I actualy wrote a complaing letter to that cable station because I was just totaly ut off by that.

By the way, that also detracts from the holiday. Being once a year is part of wh at makes it a special day. If we have Christmas, Easter, or Halloween every day of the year, then it stops being a fun, special holiday, and becomes a boring regular hum-drum day.

One time I watched a movie Silent Night, Deadly Night when I was 13 during the summer - when my step father found out and he broke VHS tape and throw it away outside! I already told my mom about him... when my mom argued him, then he knocked her down and b*tchslapping her!! I somehow quickly grabbed the baseball bat, telling him to leave, or else I'll beat the sh*t out of you!!! He got scared and left... one day my mom filed a divorce - about a couple of months they divorced! :D Well, my mom bought me Black Christmas classic movie. It was long time ago... now I have Black Christmas remake DVD. ;)

That must have been horible. There was some abuse in my family too, but never wife beating.

I never went in for movies like "Silent Night Deadly Night" as a Christmas movie tradition, but I do watcht hem during the off season. I actualy have "Black Christmas" in my personal collection, but I never watch it during Advent or Christmas. I usualy watch it in the Summer time or in October.

But I do love "A Christmas Carol," and that is a major Christmas tradition that I screan every December.

Christmas should be in December. That would be like Halloween in July.

i can NOT wait for the new a christmas carol to come to theatres :)
Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!
