When do you start your Christmas Shopping?

Post by DemonSlayerMau » Tue Nov 04, 2008 6:33 pm

I'll probably start mine later on this month when I get some Christmas money saved up.
I love Christmas shopping but I have a hard time picking out the right gifts for everyone!
This year I'm working a steady full time job though and I'm working on making my financial needs met on a timely basis, so hopefully I'll be able to buy some great gifts this year.
What are your Christmas shopping experiances?
This probably seems crazy, crazy, a graveyard theory,
A ghost tried to approach me and got leery.
Ask him a question and he vanished in a second...

Well as much as a 'pet peve' it is for me when I see Christmas decorations up in stores in the middle of October or July, or what have you, it makes it easier from a financial stand-point to start shopping for Christmas presents for my nieces and nephews as early as January, because I almost never have all the money saved up to do all of my gif buying in November. Every month, I pick some one who's on my Christmas list, and I buy a gift for that person.

Then come the December all I have to do is the gift wraping.

I'm gonna have to wait and see if I get a job by the end of the month now. I just got laid off at my main job, otherwise everyone's presents will either be late...or it's the dollar store presents again. It was cute as a kid, but now that I'm 23 I really want to get people some real gifts...*sigh*

Which is all the more reason why I shop for Christmas presents through otu the entire year. It's easier to find the gift I'm looking for, and I can't stand the crowds. I usualy buy gift cards from various retalers, restaurants, etc, so there's no problems with the warrenty on an item being expired or with being able to make an exchange.

This year, all of my grown-up nieces and nephews are getting $50.00 gift cards from Best Buy, and the little ones (grand nieces and nephew) are getting stuffed animals.

But NOTHING takes the spirit right out of the season like standing in a long line at the check-out while some irate shopper grumbles about the inconvenience, because some one's <deleted> didn't go through the first time.
