Horror at Christmas?

Post by Rising Dead Man » Mon Jul 14, 2008 8:13 pm

I saw this Christmas decoration for the tree. No normal decoration. This one has a bloody hand print with a zombie behind it. I have have heard of these before but I still think it is weird. Christmas is about joy and peace. Zombies and gore are for Halloween. Oh well. I bet George Romero have one of these on his tree! Maybe more then one!

I have a Michale Meyers, Freddy Kruger, and Leatherface ornament set that goes on my tree every year!

I love Halloween and I love Christmas but I most definitely never mix the two. But to each his own :)

I'm the same as you OctoberChill, I don't like to mix the two.

Ditto: Halloween-----------------------------------------------Christmas.
All you that doth my grave pass by,
As you are now so once was I,
As I am now so you must be,
Prepare for death & follow me.

I don't like this decoration. The zombie is awesome but I would not want that on my tree.

The closest I get is Nightmare Before Christmas. If you play A Perfect Circle's Mer de Noms album with that movie it TOTALLY goes together. Seriously 8)

Christmas and horror usualy don't go too well together. I am reminded of a movie that came out in the early 80s titled "Silent Night Deadly Night." It was about a guy in a santa clause suit going around killing people with an axe.

A lot of parents were very angry about that flick, because they released it in December, and a lot of kid who saw the adds for that movie on tv got scared and thought Santa was going to turn into an axe murderer. They called for a boycott of the film, which I actualy participated in when it was out at the theatres, but I must say that a few years later, curiosity got the better of me, so I rented the video and screaned it one night while nobody was home.

I did get a good laugh out of "A Nightmare Before Christmas."
