Re: Catching up
I haven't seen Witchy in a while, but Andy's still here, and HeadlessHorseman. MauEwig hasn't posted in a few months, but I have hope she may turn up again for the spooky season. It's been pretty quiet, but a few of us are stubborn haunters.

Re: It looks like the Halloween season is starting early this year
I've been scouting for Halloween magazines here in Murfreesboro. So far I've seen a special interest History of Halloween, the Martha Stewart reprint from last year, and a Country Living special issue. They're pretty pricey these days, c $15 apiece, and I'm waiting to buy some until I've seen a few ...

Re: Classic Halloween photos
Well, the Psalms date back to the life of David, which I think was the 900s BC. A long time ago to us; but certainly within historuc times, when lifespans were more like ours. I recall a discussion about lifespans I once had with a classics prof at Vanderbilt. He said Plato died on his 81rst birthda...

Re: The Halloween collectibles thread
Well, y'all have had a pretty eventful summer. I'm not aware that my daughter intends to go out on Halloween, though perhaps she will. Often we all costume just to hand out the candy. When my Chicago son was still living in Ohio, he was close friends with a family that included him in ToT activities...

Re: Classic Halloween photos
Yes, and even so he died before his father (grandfather?), who I think was Enoch. One of those riddles I recall from way back. I went to a religious college that required everyone to pass courses in Old and New Testaments before they graduated. Our OT prof said that some people think the ancient Jew...

Re: The Halloween collectibles thread
Oh my gosh, my daughter is 28 and would buy those in a heartbeat, I think. She is the world's #1 Scooby-Doo fan, has every single episode and movie on dvd, and pulls them out, too. She's been fashioning a Daphne costume for Halloween most of this year. She would LOVE those sets.

Re: Catching up
All the special interest mags are sometimes guilty of reprinting previous issues. You have to look carefully. I think they do have to say something like "Reprinted by popular demand," but it's not always obvious.

Re: Classic Halloween photos
Well, I have promised my children to live to 120, since I think somewhere in the Bible it says that's possible. But I don't think 121 is permitted.
At the rate my kids are going, I think I may need to live to 120 if I'm ever to see grandchildren.

I've definitely seen Hocus Pocus at Spirit. Of course, Spirit is a little rich for my blood, too, but I love browsing there.

Those are adorable. And of course Disney licensed products are sky-high.
I skimmed through the home decor. I saw a lot of Haunted Mansion and some NBC, but no Hocus Pocus.
