Re: Is it too early to think about Halloween?
All I know is that by the end of July I'll begin searching Big Lots, The Dollar Tree, and a few other places for the first signs of Halloween decorations. It is in the nineties outsides right now, though. That kind of puts a damper on my growing Halloween spirit.

Re: Is it too early to think about Halloween?
Halloween decorations will begin showing up in stores by late July or early August, so I don't think it's too early to start thinking about it.

The Dollar Tree and Big Lots have some Halloween stuff out. Not a lot yet, but Halloween is definitely in the air.

Re: Where is everyboby?
I should post here more than I do, but I try to keep my Halloween spirit in check until we get closer to the holiday. Sometimes I look forward to it so far in advance that I get burned out before Halloween gets here. But now that we're on the verge of the season beginning, I'm starting to get the fe...

Re: July 4th Soon
In three or four weeks, Halloween decorations will begin showing up in stores.
At first it will just be places like The Dollar Tree or Big Lots, but that's cool.
I love seeing the first signs of Halloween.

Re: Halloween in July?
yea they get the christmas stuff out way too early. what about thanksgiving? lots of stores skip thanksgiving all together. I guess stores don't promote Thanksgiving because people generally don't spend money on it for anything except food. Generally, nobody decorates for Thanksgiving. At least tha...

I usually check out this board every day, but don't always post. The Halloween season is only a few months away, though. I can't wait for late July when stores begin putting out their halloween merchandise.

Hmm...so far I have never reached the point of Halloween burn-out. You've never anticipated something for so long and to such an extent that when it finally gets here, you're already kind of drained? I still enjoy Halloween no matter what. But I try to slowly build up to it instead of raging...

Yeah, it sucks to see an inflatable Santa inside the door of Walmart in late October.MacPhantom wrote:The problem with that (and I know, cause they do it here), is that all the stores are filled with Christmas stuff in October....

Re: Where's YOUR Halloween Spirit?
During the Halloween season, my spirit is a solid 10.
After Oct, 31 it gradually begins to subside until late Summer.
I try not to get hyped up to early so that I don't suffer burnout before the holiday comes around.
But I'm always thinking about it.

If you can question your own sanity, you're probably okay.

I've got that same problem.
The Halloween season cannot get here quickly enough.
Look at it this way. In three months halloween decorations will begin showing up in stores.

Re: Halloween 2010 on Sunday
What I don't like about Halloween on a Sunday is the obvious conflict it causes some people. Trick or treating will be held on Saturday around here, which means we either have the entire celebration on that day or have our party on Sunday. I might just have to put the traditionalist in me alseep thi...
