Re: new to this...makeup question
A few years ago, a girl friend at work (we were encouraged to dress up), made herself up as a black person. She used foundation, like Cover Girl, intended for a black woman on her face. It was very smooth and looked very good. For the most part it was received well, a few black people made comments....

Re: Adams, TN Bell Witch
I grew up in TN hearing the stories, and was always fascinated. Finally got to visit a couple years ago. The house is a replica, but the cave was the coolest part and I think all of it had an awesome vibe. The original book written by Charles Bell, one of the descendents is a very cool read. I think...

Re: I could use some costume help!!!
I looked at a picture of Barf on the web, seen the movie but it has been awhile.. I think the best way to make the costume work is a blond wig, and ears on a headband in a similar color. Like Witchy said, you can buy fur at Michael's or Hobby Lobby, etc, and maybe glue onto cheap gloves. Don't forge...

Re: zombie walk
I read about those last year while researching how to do make up for zombie costume. My husband and I were Zombies last halloween and our costumes were a big hit, and I think the most fun costumes we have ever worn! And the cheapest! Some of us have talked about doing a Zombie Pub Crawl this year.. ...

Your favorite spooky place?
In an effort to get this party started, I am throwing out a new topic.. what is your most favorite spooky place you have ever visited? For me, it was Adams, Tennessee, the home of the Bell Witch. I grew up in Tennessee and as a little girl, these stories scared the <deleted> outta me. You didn't hav...

Re: Movie that Scares You the Most
I agree that books are far scarier than movies. I had to put Pet Semetary down for a while, give it a rest, while the movie was horribly lame. Another favorite book was Red Dragon (Hannibal Lecter), that movie was pretty frightening to me because I thought it could totally happen - but not a horror ...

Re: Grim Reaper costume
I have had alot of fun costumes over the years, but this last Halloween my husband and I were Zombies, and we had a blast. I went to Zombie websites to get ideas, everything was homemade, and we totally creeped out everyone at the party we went to. We might do it again this year and go on a 'Zombie ...

Re: New member Introduction
Hello, everyone! I have been reading the forums here since last summer, and finally joined so I could participate. I live in Georgia, my boys are grown, but I am still like a kid about Halloween. Our home is way off the road so we never get trick or treaters, but I go to a friends home to spend Hall...
