Re: Catching up

You can have a small brass plaque made the size of a c r e d I t card and have it engraved telling your staff that Marcello eats free for life, as a retirement gift.

Re: Little Halloween this Friday.

HH, I think that you get more energized when you have more activities piled up, like regenerative braking systems charge the battery in non plug-in hybrid cars.

Murf, what kind of commie-pinko town would dictate what day kids could ToT?!

Re: Halloween.Com Members Birthday!

I am so NOT into birthdays that I often forget mine.

On my sixteenth birthday , completely oblivious, I called home to see if I could go out with a family I knew for pizza.

Surprisingly to me , one of my sister in law's had picked up the phone and politely reminded me that the whole family was ...

Re: Merry Christmas 2025

Wait a minute, did you say a monster truck? Like the one pictured?

Pretty close, except hers has a flat green finish, and bigger mud tires and flared fenders.

Re: Catching up

A car like that is probably worth more than you paid for the restaurant!

On that note; one of my friends from high school worked at his parents vintage drive-in diner and they had weekly classic car meet-ups, and to this day the new owners still do , and it's a blast.

Local car clubs take ...

Re: Merry Christmas 2025

Although our temps are dropping to the 20s there isn't rain/snow in the forecast until Sunday, when it's supposed to be warmer-ish.

If things get bad my niece across town has a generator and a spare room, and a monster truck to pick me up.

Keep warm and safe, you two.

Re: Merry Christmas 2025

I think that good weather, especially during the winter, makes people want to go out, and you have a destination for them.

Re: Merry Christmas 2025

I've decided to leave the big tree up with lights, for some winter cheer.

It's been below freezing and foggy so, freezing fog!

The fog has thinned but it's still overcast so the light has a dreamlike quality.

It's pretty but I'd prefer blue skies.

Re: Merry Christmas 2025

Tell your wife aww shucks and thank you.

No prizes as the competition never materialized.

I don't do it for the prizes anyway.

As Roseanne said "I do it for the envy".

We're enjoying an unseasonable season, with temps in hhe 50s and post-fog blue skies.

I don't care if we have a summer ...

Re: Merry Christmas 2025

I too have my outside lights on tonight.

Tomorrow they get packed away and no outsiders will know that I have 3 trees to take down, and half a dozen wreaths to pack away.
