Just found your question and I found a wonderful site with some ideas for Paper Mache and other things. I have started using his idea for the pumpkin head and so far so good.

The "Tarantula Flan" as I call it was a premade sponge flan case with the spider made from black grapes cut to shape, then surrounded by mandarine segaments and covered in something we over here call quick jell (a fast setting jello)

and thay were all said in the most gorgeous cackling voice. The mouth moves as it speaks and the eyes and mouth glow ...

Well thank you all so much :oops: but can I just say that I would not have been anywhere near as inspired to do what I did this year without all of the ideas, kind words and enthusiasm of you all on here.

I wish I had just a smidgen of that sort of artistict talent!

I have seen something similar when I have bee on holiday to the canaries in the past but not to quite that scale.

Sorry I didn't relpy to this earlier but you have probably seen I have had pc troubles....anyhow...your NBC clock is out of this world!!!!!

I would put that in pride of place all year round! Absolutely gorgeous!

The party was fantastic!

We all had an absolute scream and the people who came this year who had attended previos parties said they thought it was the best one yet....I thought so!

I think we ended up with 17 children in the end rangeing from 1 year to 14 and they all seemed to enjoy themselves ...

I was so upset when my pc died at such a crucial time!

The cake I will admit was my favourite. Good old chocolate fingers stuck into the frosting...it held them in place a treat ...

Well it happen....the pc died completely :cry:

Had to go out and buy a new one yesterday. :cry: :cry: :cry:

Hubby has managed to get it going but as you can imagine the info exchange is enormouse!!!!!! :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry:
